Zigzagging from one challenge to the next

I’m a day late for the end of the April A to Z blogging challenge, as there is no such thing as April 31st. But, hey, I finished in typical zig zag style, so it’s all good. I tried to be zealous in my approach to the challenge, to talk about how I have experienced life during the ongoing pandemic. 


So on I go to the Ultimate Blogging Challenge. I’m zig zagging from one challenge to the next, and there seems to be a collision. Today really is the first day of the Ultimate Blogging Challenge, and yesterday really was the last day of the April A to Z challenge. But, instead, I’ve got the last meeting the first or the first meeting the last or something to that effect.


How do I celebrate the first day of a new blogging challenge? I could use one of the blogging prompts that came to me via email. Reintroduce myself. I am alice, and I have been blogging for a long time. My audience isn’t the biggest. It could be a lot bigger, but it doesn’t really matter. You do your best for the audience that you have. I remember back in the 1990s, I was a member of the Greek chorus in the play, “Antigone.” It was a lot of fun.

One day, we performed for about five people. Really, that was the entire audience. We managed to touch the hearts of five individuals who were with us that day. After the show, one of the audience members told us that we did so well with the tragedy and that it was too bad that there weren’t more people in the audience. But we said that we were happy with our audience. We loved performing the play and would have done the same performance for one person, if necessary.


And so it is with blogging. I am talking to individuals and I hope that I am touching something inside of them. I hope that the stories that I am sharing with them add something to their world. It is okay if I am sharing with only a few and it is okay if I am sharing with many. I am just happy to tell stories and share pictures because, for me, letting my stories into the universe is what I really love to do.


I am excited about continuing to blog and about starting my second challenge. Thank you for coming to visit me. I am planning on doing some creative writing exercises with you.
