Tonight, I unexpectedly had the opportunity to take pictures shortly after sunset of the colors of the sky and the reflections in the river. It was truly a gorgeous sight, and I felt completely transfixed by that.
I chose to use both my camera and my phone to take these picture. With both, the colors were spectacular. The above picture was taken with my camera. On the other side of the river is Navy Island, which is a wildlife sanctuary that belongs to Canada. There is a bald eagle nest that I sometimes watch through binoculars. You could get a clear view of the eagles through a spotting scope set up at the location where this photograph was taken, at Eagle Overlook in Grand Island, New York.
This image, which I photographed with my phone, looks a little lighter and brighter than the camera image.
I took this picture at a different location, a little later. The colors are still very vivid here. The sky looks like magical flames of fire. This is another image that I took with my phone.
