It’s (almost) Wordless Wednesday, so I’m sharing pictures of Buffalo’s City Hall, both inside and outside. Buffalo’s City Hall is an art deco structure that was built between 1929 and 1931. It was dedicated on July 1st, 1932, during the city’s centennial celebration. It is an amazing structure and, in the past few years, the outside was cleaned. The cleaning made it possible to see the impressive decorative work that was done on this structure.

I love the hair. It’s wild, kind of like mine, but with less curl.

Some of the design inside the building.

This the chamber for the Buffalo Common Council, where they debate and vote on city legislation.

View of Lake Erie from the observation deck close to the top of Buffalo City Hall. To get there, you have to take the elevator to (not the) top floor and then walk up a few flights of stairs.

Here is a view of the city from the observation tower. The large building in the distance is the Central Terminal that is currently being rehabilitated. In its glory days, it was a great train station.
I hope that you enjoyed the tour of Buffalo’s city hall. See you tomorrow with… I actually don’t know right now.
