Today’s blog post is a series of images from Grand Island’s Independence Day parade, as well as from a fireworks display along the Niagara River. It was a beautiful, sunny day, although very hot. Everyone was encouraged to drink plenty of water, to stay hydrated, and to enjoy the parade.

Shamefully, it's been years (perhaps three) since we've enjoyed a live Fourth of July fireworks show. Were just too exhausted this year. Happy you got out and enjoyed the day.
Enjoyed your parade. I missed out on the one in my little town – just too dang hot to stand in the sun. But did take my brother to see the fireworks display. We had practically front-row seats.
