because I don’t have a clue of what to write about…

So, I don’t know what to say. It’s as if I got stuck and I want to talk about random stuff.
Or maybe I could write a poem. A poem about a sailboat that floats off into the sea. So here goes. I’m going to do it in blank verse, and this is just sort of a spontaneous writing exercise. This blank verse is unrhymed and has ten syllables per line. And yep, I really am going to wing it.
The churning sea and the howling wind
pushes random objects from hither to yon.
Cracked pieces of lumber, rusty nails
Styrofoam boxes crusted in fast food
Old wine bottles devoid of a message
anonymous stuff without a story.
Sailboat ripped away from its mooring
spinning in circles in the rocky sea
who knows where it will land in early dawn
Either whole or in sad, forlorn parts
glory days relegated to the past.

Question for today: What do you do when you decide to wing it because you don’t know what to say?
And there you have it, another post completed for your blog.
Persistence pays.
Blog on!
Yes, I agree, Doug. Persistence in the face of all obstacles is the key to creativity! I really wasn’t planning on writing a poem, but it happened!
Seems you have sailboats on your mind… I like to plan my blog’s content, so I have no advice on how to wing it.

Yes, definitely sailboats! I have a friend who owns a boating business and he teaches people how to sail. He’s been posting about the next season. So there is that!!
Good luck with your blog post!
I love your painting and the boat photo reminds me so much of the boat my grandfather built in the 50s for fishing.

I didn’t know the A to Z Challenge was still happening. I am going to see if I can join it. I might be late to the party but I will catch and get to have fun with everyone else.
