Today’s prompt is to talk about tools that make my work easier. These tools should be things that I consider to be indispensible. Actually, the prompt ws to talk about one tool, but, well, I couldn’t pick just one, so there’s that.

Well, I would think that my imagination would suffice. I think that it’s quite vivid. On the other hand, I am of the opinion that it’s helped out by a collection of… tools!
Here are some of my tools that I would considered indispensible.
First, there’s a camera. I take pictures with my phone, which I use mostly for blogging or for posting online, but for printing in an actual newspaper, the camera is better because of its larger sensor. The quality of the photographs is just better. I do take a large number of pictures for my newspaper articles but only a few are actually good. Which is why a digital camera is great. You don’t have to print all of those bad photographs!

Second is a bunch of art supplies, which include scissors for collage, various pens for pen and ink art, and a pad of mixed media paper. These are great tools to have when you’re creating art images. I also have smaller pads and little journals that I can carry in a purse or a small backpack so that, if I have the urge to draw, I can do that. I bring a pencil, a small visual journal, a small ruler, and a pencil sharpener.

What tools are your favorites?
This is a wonderful list, Alice! Reading your post makes it so clear that each person’s indispensable tools really depend on their unique career and personal interests. I absolutely love your focus on the camera. A high-quality camera is such a fantastic tool because it is useful to everyone at some time and place to capture special moments. Thank you for sharing a peek into your creative toolkit!
It was fun to share! I’m happy that you enjoyed it!
Hi Alice,
A great topic I can relate too.
I have been a tool collector since before I was a teen.
Now my tools include software and computers and as you say your cell phone.
From the pictures you posted I think the cell phone is giving better results for your web publishing.
Now my challenge is to make my tool collection smaller.

Yes, cell phone is great for web publishing!
Good luck with making the tool collection smaller!
Alice, your list makes you sound like a planner who is very organized. Yay you!
I mainly carry my iPhone (17 ProMax), for photographs, drafting writings in the NOTES section, plus intercepting texts and emails. With it, I can take a photo, email it to myself, and pick it up later to pop into an article. Good stuff!
Thank you! My iPhone (12 ProMax) does everything for me. It wakes me up in the morning, counts my steps, takes fairly decent photographs, identifies plants, lets me know where my family is, and records my interviews. It’s quite a cool thing to have!
