the tsunami and the bee

Today’s prompt from the Ultimate Blogging Challenge is to write about goods or services that I might sell as part of a business. I don’t know if I can do that, so, instead, I am going to continue the story of the Steampunk Bear’s adventure.

part six of the steampunk bear’s story

During the night, the winds and the rains came to the seventh beach. Even from a distance, the birds’ screams could be heard loudly. Thje steampunk bear shook with fear. Then he stood up and walked into the woods. As the waters began covering the beach, the ravens flew toward the woods, carrying the mouse with them. The ravens picked up the steampunk bear, and the six ravens flew to higher ground just as a large churning wave covered the entire beach and crashed into the side of the mountain. At that moment, a great blue heron landed nearby. That bird walked deeper into the forest, and the ravens did not follow it.

In the morning, The ravens carried the steampunk bear and the mouse over the waters, which had stopped churning, toward the eighth mountain. Before long, they landed on a rocky beach. The steampunk bear and the mouse went into a wooded area, where they found many berry bushes. Before long, everyone was enjoying a breakfast of berries of all varieties.

“What a treat,” said the mouse.

At that moment, a seal slid ashore. The seal shed his skin, revealing the man the birds had saved a few days earlier. A large bee sat on the man’s shoulder.

“There’s a bee on your shoulder,” said the mouse. “And it’s bigger than me.”

“Fear not,” said the bee. “i am your friend. I will not harm you.”

“I need a raven to fly the bee far out. Time is of the essence if we are going to save your brother.”

“I will go,” said a raven. “We need to be a complete group when we cross the seventh mountain.”

The selkie fitted himself back into the sealskin.

“Onward,” said the selkie, and he and the raven, carrying the giant bee, departed into the sunrise.
