:Paddles Up Niagara is an annual event that takes place at Beaver Island State Park in the Town of Grand Island, New York, on the last Saturday of July. It is considered to be a fun, family friendly way of experiencing the Niagara River. Events include an ecohike, an eco paddle, basic kayaking instructions, a fishing demonstration, and a fun paddle that attracts more than 200 paddlers.
The photographs that I am going to share are the ones that I took while standing on a small pedestrian bridge from Beaver Island State Park to Little Beaver Island (which is a very tiny island near the southern tip of Grand Island).
As I walked to the bridge, I saw a feathered friend.

Sounds like lots of fun! I love the colorful paddles making their way to the finish line!
What a joyful glimpse into Paddles Up! Love how you captured both the calm and the energy of the day—especially that egret quietly enjoying the view too!
The perfect place to be when you’re hot!! In a kayak on a beautiful body of clean clear water!! Refreshing!
That looks like such a fun day! I love how colorful the mode of water transportation is. You shots are super!
