discovering the joy of ink
I’ve almost completed the first week of Inktober because I’ve made six pictures, instead of seven. But, to be fair, I started on day three, so there is that. It’s really all about drawing, although I have discovered that it is possible to use ink as a painting medium.
When I did the 61-day index card a day challenge, I discovered that I really like working with prompts. I find that I can draw from a word or an idea. I can also write stories, based on the image. But I’ve also discoverd that creating drawings based on an already-written story is a bit more challenging. It’s almost as if there were some sort of disconnect in my head. I wonder what that’s about.
So anyway…

Oh, I love all of these but train… the train trip makes me feel wistful! I love train travel. I am not doing inktober this month, but I did get a 21 day drawing book from the library yesterday. I am not very good at drawing and I do enjoy the process… no matter how unskilled my drawings turn out. You are inspiring me!
I understand how you feel about train. I am feeling so much wanderlust. For sure, I want to go somewhere and have an adventure! I don’t have a car so I can’t just go for a long drive. Who knows? Maybe someday, there will be a fun train ride for us!
And keep drawing! If it’s fun, go for it. I’m happy that I can inspire you to explore art!
Oh my! I have been loving your Inktober series every year, and this year is so very cool as well. The train ticket one is so original while the flame is simply beautiful!!
