Reliable rubbish reduction

Today, I went to the east side of Grand Island with my friends Debbie and Nancy to pick up rubbish along the road. It was quite an adventure. Within a small area, we filled just a little more than eight garbage bags with refuse. Here are some pictures of the area that our little Anti-Litter team cleaned.

Spicer Creek ends at the Niagara River. Our goal is to remove the litter and rubbish before it gets into the water.
The fun aspect of this beverage is long since gone.
A roadside demise was the sad fate for this bottle.
This is a new thing for me. A beat box is an alcoholic beverage in a box.
We collected all of this in about an hour. This includes the refuse from all sorts of adult beverages!
Here I am, gleefully showing off our “collection.”

That was a great adventure, and, as we were leaving, a bicylist thanked us for cleaning the area. I am looking forward to future reliable rubbish reduction experiences!
