Last Friday, I went to St. Timothy Lutheran Church to paint wooden ornaments. These ornaments were made by Paul, a local wood carver, and they will be sold at the Erie County Fair. All proceeds from the sale of the ornaments will go to the Make a Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children with serious illnesses. This is the second year that I have painted ornaments. It’s a fun and relaxing way to spend an evening.

These were the four ornaments I painted. I had so much fun with this activity, and I hope that the ornament sales do well, and that helps a kid do something fun and fulfill a bucket list item. I also hope that the ornaments look cute on someone’s Christmas tree. As for the Santa, I did leave the eyes blank so that Paul could make the cute eyes that he is known for making.
As much as I enjoyed painting the ornaments, I was happy to go outside and feel the summer air and go back to summer activities.
Your ornaments came out great! I love painting!
