Today, there was an open house at Orange Poppy Art Studio. So, I decided to go, despite the fact that it would probably rain. When I arrived, I saw that my sister Diane was there and was busily painting a wooden box in a variety of colors. I found a wooden egg, and I started painting it in fun Easter egg type colors. It’s spring, so colors are more pastel and less dramatic. Well, even my choices for springtime colors have a little bit of drama in them, so there is that.
There was a steady stream of kids coming in and out of the art studio with parents, grandparents, etc. Today was the last weekday of spring break for them, so they were enjoying the opportunity to have some art fun. The kids looked happy as they made their creations, and I enjoyed watching their joy.
Diane was happy, too. Below is Diane’s box. Unfortunately, it’s just going to be a visual aid because she managed to paint it shut. But it’s a nice, bright, and glittery visual aid.

Thanks, Alice
You’re welcome, Diane. It was a fun time for me, and I’m happy that you were there to share it.
